A.N.Murthy Rao is a great writer in kannada literature well known for his essays. He born in akkihebbalu in 1900 ,a village on the bank of river Hemavathi in krishnarajpet taluk,mandya .
Being a master graduate in english from Mysore university,he was lecturer in the same university.He has worked as director of akashvani,mysore station and Kannada Saahitya Parishath for sometime.He has done some translation works from english to kannada.He was a great atheist who lived with this belief over 103 years making no compromisation.His wellknown work “Devaru” which has been translated into english as “The God” fetched him the
karnataka Govt.’s “Pampa” award.He got central saahithya academy award for his collection of essays called as “Chitragalu mattu patragalu” which means “images and letters”,contains essays related to Prof.B.M.Shree,Ralo etc and letters written to Prof.Thee.nam.Shree.

This novel written by Mr. N.M.Thimmegowda gives rich experiences about rural folk and their life.It describes theia joy and sorrow.Here the author has succeeded in documenting each instances of the rural south indian people’s life.He has done it in an isolation way,so that there is no exaggeration in pictures he has drawn throught this novel.The approach is unique in away that ,the novel takes us into the world of laxmipura,a village near Mysore.As a connosier,the author depicts village’s entire picture.Those who want to know and love village life,they must read this book.

god of this temple is lakshminarayanaswamy.There are also krishna,narasimha,ganapa idols
present at the sanctum sanctorum.also,beautiful greenful lawn is there around the temple which magnifies the beauty of temple.Temple was built by hoysala’s dynasty.the entire
sclupture at the outer side of the temple depicts the tales of ramayana and mahabharatha.When you come to mysore don’t forget to visit this place.Other historical places nearby is melukote,
shravanabelagola,KRS etc.
